International Aid groups suspended on May 2, 2008 humanitarian operations in Chad for two days to protest the slaying of the French aid worker. "The humanitarian community decided to recommend a suspension of humanitarian activities, apart from emergency ones," said a statement by the UN humanitarian coordinator in Chad, Kingsley Amaning as the hunted started for the killers of Marlinge.
