SUDAN-SOUTH-POLITICS-AIR-CRASH
South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Mayardit (R) and Vice-President Riek Machar (C) stands on May 6, 2008 in Juba during a burial ceremony for South Sudan's late Defence minister Dominic Diem Deng and his wife Josephine Aken. Dim Deng and five others were killed in a plane crash last May 2, 375 kilometres (around 220 miles) from Juba as it was on it's way from Wau to the capital. "This incident confirms no evil intent behind the accident," South Sudan Army Chief of Staff Deng Oyay said. "But more investigations would be carried out. As we learned from the communication from the pilot this tragedy is a result of mechanical conditions." AFP PHOTO/TONY KARUMBA
