(FILE) The top commander of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), Pedro Antonio Marin, better known as "Manuel Marulanda" or "Tirofijo" (R), hugs his companion "Sandra" after speaking with journalists on March 10, 2001 in La Sombra, Colombia. The Colombian Defense Minister announced in an official statement on May 24, 2008 in Bogota that 'Manuel Marulanda' was dead.
