FILM-FESTIVAL-CANNES-FRANCE
The Paris two dozen first-time actors who picked up the Palme d'Or at Cannes with the movie "The Class", directed by Laurent Cantet on May 25, 2008, are welcomed by other pupils, teachers and families as they are back to school in Paris on May 26, 2008, after their triumph. Based on the bestselling memoir of French teacher Francois Begaudeau, "The Class", shot in a rough Parisian classroom, became the first homegrown French movie in two decades to claim the coveted Palme d'Or.
