The Paris pupils who won the Palme d'Or at Cannes film festival with the movie "The Class" directed by Laurent Cantet on May 25, 2008, claim up the stairs of their Françoise-Dolto school in Paris, on May 26, 2008, as they are welcomed by other pupils, teachers and families. Based on the bestselling memoir of French teacher Francois Begaudeau, "The Class", shot in a rough Parisian classroom, became the first homegrown French movie in two decades to claim the coveted Palme d'Or.
