A correspondent for the Associated Press news agency has left Ivory Coast after receiving threats he said were linked to the disappearance last week of independent journalist Guy-Andre Kieffer. Baudelaire Mieux told AFP by telephone 22 April that he had serious security concerns for himself and his family after receiving several anonymous phone calls and a threatening email in the last several days, following the presumed abduction on April 16 of Kieffer, who was a close friend. If Kieffer is confirmed to have been killed it will mark the second slaying in six months of a foreign journalist in Abidjan. AFP PHOTO - L-INTELLIGENT
