(From L-R) German Culture minister Bernd Neumann (CDU), Vice-Parliament president Wolfgang Thierse and Berlin's mayor Klaus Wowereit attend the inauguration of the monument in memory of the thousands of homosexuals persecuted, tortured and murdered by the Nazi regime between 1933 and 1945, on May 27, 2008 in Berlin. The memorial, situated near the Brandenburg Gate and a stone's throw from the main Holocaust memorial was designed by Norwegian-Danish duo Ingar Dragset and Michael Elmgreen and built at a cost of 450,000 euros (710,000 dollars). At eye-level inside the monument, is a gap containing a television screen showing two men kissing. AFP PHOTO DDP/MICHAEL GOTTSCHALK GERMANY OUT
