GERMANY-TURKEY-EXTREMISM-ANNIVERSARY-FILES
FILES - Picture taken on May 26, 2008 shows the memorial Solingen's citizens "Mahnmal Solinger Buergerinnen und Buerger" commemorating the racist arson attack on the house of the Turkish Genc family 15 years ago on May 29, 1993 in Solingen. Mevluede Genc lost two daughters, two granddaughters and one niece, aged between 4 and 27 years. The memorial featues two persons tearing a swastika in pieces and is placed in front of the Mildred-Scheel school of Hatice Genc, the eldest of the three children who died in the attack.
