BELGIUM-PROTEST-UNIONS
Belgian trade union members march on June 10, 2008 during a protest organized by the three major trade union groups in Mons. After Liege and Antwerp on June 9, trade unions -- Christian ACV/CSC, Socialist ABVV/FGTB and Liberal ACLVB/CGSLB, organized large protests to demand more purchasing power for workers. The goal, the CSC, FGTB and CGSLB unions said in a joint text, is "to keep pressure on the government so that it deals with the problems that people are facing with the cost of living."
