TO GO WITH AFP STORY IN FRENCH BY ANNICK BENOIST : "DANS L'ANTRE SECRET DU COLLECTIONNEUR SUISSE JEAN PAUL BARBIER-MUELLER" - Swiss collector Jean Paul Barbier-Mueller poses for the first time at the secret reserve of his private collection near a teke mask that belonged to the French painter Andre Derain, in Geneva on May 21, 2008. This collection contains over 7,000 pieces and includes works of art from tribal and classical antiquity as well as sculptures, fabrics and ornaments from "primitive" civilizations around the world. Its goal is to preserve, study, and publish the collection. He conducts or funds his own research in Sumatra, Ivory Coast and Guinea.
