FRANCE-EU-PARLIAMENT-IRELAND-REFERENDUM
British Euro MPs including British Gerard Batten, founder member of the UK Independence Party (L/second row) with his colleagues Godfrey Bloom (Second L/second row) also of the MEP, Nigel Farell (First row/Second R) and Dutch Bastiaan Belder (L/First row) of the Independence Democracy Group sport a jersey calling to- Respect the Irish Vote -during the preparation of the European Council following the Irish Referendum at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, eastern France, on June 18, 2008. EU leaders will hold crisis talks at their summit in Brussels on Thursday and Friday on how to move ahead with the treaty after last week's blow and are expected to ask Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen to explain what went wrong.
