JAPAN-SONY
Japan's electronics giant Sony employee Ryoko Takagi displays the new high-definition digital camcorder "Handycam HDR-CX12", equipped with a 5.6 mega-pixel CMOS sensor and a 4.9 - 58.8mm/F1.8 - 3.1 zoom lens, equivalent to 40 - 480mm in 35mm camera at the company's headquarters in Tokyo on June 23, 2008. The palm-held handycam automatically releases the shutter when the subject smiles during video taping, freeing the user from switching between recording mode and picture taking.
