PHILIPPINES-WEATHER-STORM
A villager salvages wood from the wreckage of his house destroyed by huge waves along the coast of San Fernando town in the typhoon-devastated island of Sibuyan on June 25, 2008 after Typhoon Fengshen hit the Philippine on June 21 while ferry MV Princess of the Stars sank off the island carrying more than 850 passengers. Officials appealed for more equipment from abroad as well as relief goods for survivors of the typhoon, which left 600 dead or missing in the country while ferry disaster feared to have killed nearly 800 people.
