A TV grab from French TF1 channel made on July 10, 2008 in Paris, shows French journalist and television presenter Patrick Poivre d'Arvor (PPDA) anchoring the news for the last time, after 21 years. PPDA told France Inter radio on July 10, 2008 there was "no objective" reason for his dismissal, but declined to comment on "rumours" of political interference.
