Gavintra Photijak, Miss Thailand 2008, is presented with the best national costume Award during the 57th annual Miss Universe competition in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 14, 2008. Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza, 22, won the Miss Universe pageant. The 57th edition of the global beauty contest kicked off in the southern seaside resort of Nha Trang, the first time it has been held in a communist country.
