22 year old Dayana Mendoza, Miss Venezuela 2008 from Caracas wins the title of Miss Universe 2008 at the conclusion of the 57th annual Miss Universe competition at the Crown Convention Center in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 14, 2008. Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza, 22, won the Miss Universe pageant. The 57th edition of the global beauty contest kicked off in the southern seaside resort of Nha Trang, the first time it has been held in a communist country.
