NETHERLANDS-WARCRIMES-CROATIA-DUBROVNIK-ICTY
Former Yugoslav army general Pavle Strugar, 75, looks on in the courtroom of International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in the Hague on July 17, 2008. The UN war crimes court upheld the conviction against Strugar for his role in the deadly 1991 shelling of the historic city of Dubrovnik. The appeals panel has also added two more counts Strugar's original 2005 conviction though they reduced his original sentence from eight years to seven and a half years because of his deteriorating health.
