FRANCE-COLOMBIA-HOSTAGES-BETANCOURT-CONCERT
Colombian ex-hostage Ingrid Betancourt (L) and her mother Yolanda Pulecio hold photographs of the hostages still held by FARC rebels in the Colombian jungle on the stage on July 20, 2008 in Paris before a concert as part of a worldwide day of rallies calling for their release. 30 different artists will perform in a square across the river from the Eiffel Tower. Betancourt was rescued on July 2 in an operation by Colombian armed forces who said they tricked her rebel captors into handing her over along with three Americans and 11 other Colombian hostages.
