NETHERLANDS-SERBIA-WARCRIMES-KARADZIC
In this photograph of a home television screen taken in Rijswijk, Dutch judge Alphons Orie speaks during a live broadcast to former Bosnian Serb wartime leader Radovan Karadzic at the start of his initial appearance in The Hague on July 31, 2008. Karadzic made his first appearance before a UN war crimes court in The Hague to face genocide charges after more than a decade on the run. Karadzic will use his legal right to delay entering a plea in his war crimes trial by one month, his Serbian lawyer said ahead of his client's first appearance before a UN tribunal.
