Clients view the TV set in the restaurant "Luda kuca" ("Mad house"), where Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic often spent his time when on the run, in Belgrade on July 31, 2008, as the a live broadcast shows him appear in court at The Hague on genocide charges for the first time. Karadzic was in the custody of the UN war crimes court after being flown from Serbia during the night to face charges of genocide. UN prosecutors in The Hague hailed Serbia for detaining and transferring the so-called "Butcher of Bosnia" whose trial will focus on the two most notorious events of Bosnia's 1992-1995 war, the 44-month siege of Sarajevo and the Srebrenica massacre, in which thousands died.
