New Polish Prime Minister Marek Belka (L) is talking with member of his new cabinet Jerzy Hausner (C), minister of economy and labour and deputy Prime Minister Izabela Jaruga-Nowacka (R) during a nomination ceremony of the government at a presidential palace in Warsaw 02 May 2004. A new government headed by former economics minister Marek Belta was appointed on Sunday, the day after Poland joined the European Union.
