SENEGAL-AIDS-US-CLINTON-FOUNDATION

Former US president Bill Clinton (R) listens to French former foreign minister Philippe Douste-Blazy who earlier this year was named UN chief Ban Ki-moon's special adviser on innovative financing for development, on August 3, 2008 at the Mobile Treatment Centre (CTA) at the CHU of Fann in Dakar during a four-nation African tour. The Clinton Foundation launched an anti-AIDS initiative in 2002 and this month has reached an agreement with several pharmaceutical companies to slash the price of the top anti-malaria treatment by 30 percent. Clinton will also visit Rwanda, Liberia and Senegal, as part of a trip to promote his foundation's efforts to tackle AIDS and malaria. AFP PHOTO / SEYLLOU
