In this handout provided by the U.S. Navy, the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) sails past the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) as Kitty Hawk returns to her homeport one final time before being retired next year in Bremerton, Washington August 7, 2008 in San Diego, California. The 46-year-old carrier is the oldest active-duty warship in the Navy and will be replaced this summer by George Washington as the Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
