IRAQ-URNEST-RELIGION-SHIITE
A man grieves as Iraqis in the town of Iskandiriyah, 60 kilometers (37 miles) south of the capital Baghdad carry a coffin on August 15 2008, of one of the victims of yesterday's double suicide bombing which killed mainly Shiite Muslim pilgrims on their way to the holy city of Karbala. Shiite Muslim pilgrims are on their way to the central city of Karbala in preparation for the upcoming celebrations at the Shiite shrine of Imam Abbas marking the anniversary of the birth of Mohammed al-Mahdi, the 12th Imam of Shiism. Iraqi officials threw a massive security cordon around Karbala today after a wave of bombings in 24 hours killed at least 25 Shiite worshippers and wounded dozens of others. AFP PHOTO/AHMED AL-RUBAYE
