Jamaica broke the men's 4x100m relay world record in the Olympic final timing 37.10seconds. Usain Bolt, Nesta Carter, Asafa Powell and Michael Fratercoasted to victory ahead of Trinidad and Tobago, aided by the absence of a US team that failed to advance to the final after dropping the baton in qualifying.
