CARIBBEAN-WEATHER-GUSTAV
This August 30, 2008, infrared satellite image obtained from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), shows Hurricane Gustav (lower R) south of Cuba. Gustav rapidly gained strength Saturday as it bore down on western Cuba after ripping through the Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, Haiti and Jamaica, leaving 85 people dead. The National Hurricane Center, based in Miami, reported that Gustav, as of August 30, was moving northwest at around 19kph (12mph). If it keeps its present course, the center said, it could hit Louisiana in the early hours of September 02. AFP PHOTO/NOAA = GETTY OUT =
