US-ATTACKS- 7 YEARS-
Family members are the first to enter the memorial park after US President George W. Bush officially dedicated the Pentagon Memorial on September 11, 2008 at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Thousands gathered to dedicate the first September 11 memorial Thursday, observing a moment of silence at the instant seven years ago when an airliner slammed into the Pentagon, killing 184 people and five hijackers. A sailor rang a bell for each of the victims of the attack on the Pentagon, which followed strikes by airliners commandeered by Al-Qaeda suicide squads on the World Trade Center in New York.
