BELGIUMGERMANY-AIRLINE-TAKEOVER-COMPANY-LUFTHANSA
SN Airholding chairman Etienne Davignon (L) and Lufthansa Chairman of the Executive Board Wolfgang Mayrhuber (R) pose for photographers after they agree for Lufthansa to take shares in SN Airholding and from 2011 Lufthansa will get options to buy the rest of the shares for a total of 250 million euro. Brussels Airlines is an offshoot of the bankrupt state-owned carrier Sabena and one of the few European airlines that does not belong to a major alliance. It is owned by around 40 shareholders, including the Virgin Group and several Belgian enterprises.
