About 20,000 cattle and sheep growers from the Massif Central region protest revenue loss on September 16, 2008 in Clermont-Ferrand known as the capital of cattle farming in France. The protestors were asking for more protection from foreign imports, as well as subsidies to help offset low wages for their work.
