Borut Pahor, leader of Slovenian main opposition party, Slovenian Democrats (SD), gestures after hearing first exit polls in his party’s headquarters in Ljubljana, on September 21, 2008. Slovenia voted today in parliamentary elections with a bribery scandal hanging over Prime Minister Janez Jansa and the opposition left showing unity in a bid to regain power. Slovenia's opposition Social Democrats was headed to victory in parliamentary elections today, taking 31.5 percent of the vote against 27.7 percent for the governing Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS), according to an exit poll carried on POP TV. "If these results prove to be true, I will greet Mr Pahor, but we still have to wait for the official results," Jansa told POP TV immediately after polls closed at 7 p.m. (1700 GMT).
