Police claim Shakeel was killed during an encounter in the Pandach area on the outskirts of Srinagar, Ansari is the second top Hizbul commander to have been killed by the Indian security forces in the past week. The group-s Kashmir-based chief commander Abdul Hamid, alias Gazi Shahabudin, died in a clash 06 May, in Srinagar.
