Bavaria's state premier Guenther Beckstein (L) and German Minister for Consumer Protection, Food and Agriculture Horst Seehofer leave after a meeting with their Christian Social Union (CSU) party's parliamentary group on October 1, 2008 in Munich. Beckstein has quit after his conservative party's disastrous result in weekend state elections, and Seehofer could replace him as State Premier.
