German sprint great Erik Zabel of the professional road team Milram waves after placing second in the Muensterland-Giro cycling race on October 3, 2008 in Bocholt, western Germany. Andre Greipel of the team Columbia won the race, Robert Foerster of the team Gerolsteiner placed third. 38-year old Zabel, former six-time winner of the Tour de France green jersey, will retire in October 2008.
