(FILES) A picture taken on May 3, 2003 in Paris, shows French nun, Sister Emmanuelle (R), with French Catholic Priest Abbe Pierre. Sister Emmanuelle, born Madeleine Cinquin, died on October 20, 2008, at the age of 99, at a retirement home in Callian, southern France, according to her association "Asmae-Association Soeur Emmanuelle". She dedicated her life to the poor, especially in Egypt during 20 years. Abbe Pierre (1913-2007) was also a well-known figure in the fight against poverty, especially homeless people.
