FRANCE-EU-PARLIAMENT
Overalll view of the European parliament in Strasbourg taken on October 20, 2008 after the ceiling was restored. On 7 August, a 200-square metre section of the ceiling hemicycle built in 1999, fell through. Luckily, this happened during recess and no one was injured. Under an EU agreement, MEPs are required to hold 12 sessions annually in Strasbourg.
