GERMANY-FRANCE-US-ART-KANDINSKY
A visitor looks at the painting dated 1912 "Kleine Freuden" (translations: "Small delights") by Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky (1866 –1944) during the press preview of the exhibition "Kandinsky - Absolut. Abstrakt!" at the Lenbachhaus in Munich, southern Germany. The exhibition will run in Munich from October 25 to February 22, 2009 before travelling to the Pompidou Centre in Paris from April to August 2009 and ending its journey at the Guggenheim Museum in New York from September 2009 until January 2010. The show includes 95 paintings from all the major periods of Kandinksky's work between 1907 and 1942, from the "Blue Rider" period through to Bauhaus and his final decade in France.
