TO GO WITH AFP STORY IN FRENCH BY ISABELLE WESSELINH : "MADONE DE LAROQUE": UNE EXPERTISE D'EMPREINTE MET A MAL LA THESE D'UN DE VINCI - Close-up of the painting called "La Madone de Laroque" (the Madone of Laroque) taken on October 27, 2008 in Laroque, south of France, the village of the three friends who bought it in 1998 for 230 euros. At that time, the work was undergoing a professionnal assessment. According to Italian expert Alessandro Vezzosi, the painting is not by Italian master Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519), as German historian and specialist of the Renaissance period Maike Vogt-Luerssen claims.
