Micah Rogers (R) of the Florida Keys-based Turtle Hospital and Tom Luebke utilize a Doppler echo instrument on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 to check the heartbeat of a hawksbill turtle named "Sandy" in Miami, Floria. The reptile was attacked by wild dogs last month while it was nesting on a St. Croix beach. It received a free flight to Miami in an American Airlines jet to be transferred to the Turtle Hospital for further treatment.
