MONTECITO, CA - NOVEMBER 14: A 1992 bronze sculpture credited to Jane DeDecker and entitled Mother and Child stands amid the charred landscape after the home and large art collection gardens of a local artist were destroyed by the Tea Fire, on November 14, 2008 in Montecito, California. Thirteen people were injured and more than 100 homes destroyed in the first few hours as evening Sundowner Winds reached 70 mph, pushing the wildfire into multi-million dollar ocean-view homes last night. The fire charred about 2,500 acres overnight and spread to the city of Santa Barbara. Fire-related power outages reportedly prevented many people from driving their cars out from behind electric gates.
