NETHERLANDS-UN-IBEANU-ICOAST-PROBO KOALA
Okechukwu Obinna Ibeanu, special rapporteur for the United Nations (UN) visits the Dutch parliament, in The Hague, on November 27, 2008. Ibeanu is on a three-day visit to the Netherlands to investigate the circumstances of the Probo Koala affair in 2006. The Probo Koala affair concerned a ship owned by Amsterdam-based oil trader Triafigura which reportedly dumped toxic waste in Ivory coast, killing 16 people and making ill thousands.
