BELGIUM-CRIME-CHILDREN-TRIAL
The husband of defendant Genevieve Lhermitte, Bouchaib Moqadem (C), and his sister Fathia Bouchtouia (R) as well as doctor Michel Schaar (L), who lived in the same house as the defendant, arrive on December 8, 2008 at the Nivelles courthouse for the first day of the trial of his wife on charges of taking the lives of her five children in early 2007 by slitting their throats. Lhermitte admitted to killing on February 28, 2007 her children, Yasmine, Nora, Myriam, Mina and Medhi, before trying to commit suicide.
