Tom Whitaker of Australia rides a tube during the Billabong Pipeline Masters in Oahu on December 10, 208. Whitaker battled the hollow 8-12ft wave faces posting an 8.67 and a 7.57 (out of a possible 10) totalling a heat score of 16.24 (out of a possible 20). The Billabong Pipeline Masters is the final stop on the ASP Men's World Tour that includes 64 surfers, 40 of which are ASP World Tour competitors and provides the last opportunity for ASP World Tour surfers to cement their spot on the 2009 ASP World Tour.
