A combination of five pictures shows a riot police officer burning after a cocktail molotov was thrown at him at the end of a demonstration in central Athens on December 12, 2008. Already shaken by corruption scandals whose eradication was one of Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis' main campaign pledges, the Greek government is facing mounting calls to resign over the unprecedented violence that has plagued the country for the past week.
