BRITAIN-CHILD-ABUSE
Members of the campaign for "Justice for Baby P" march towards Trafalgar Square, London after handing submitting a petition at Number 10 Downing Street on December 10, 2008 demanding action on the country's care system to prevent future child deaths, following the death of a baby after a lifetime of abuse. The 17-month-old boy known only as Baby P, who died in August 2007 after months of abuse at the hands of his mother, her boyfriend and a lodger, had been visited 60 times by social workers from Haringey Council in north London but failed to take him into care despite his numerous injuries, including broken ribs and eventually a broken back.
