Protesters opposed to Israeli military action in Gaza burn an Israeli flag at a demonstration near the Israeli Embassy in London, on December 31, 2008. A senior United Nations official said on Wednesday it is crucial that the fighting stops in the battered Gaza Strip and that food and fuel be delivered rapidly.
