Kenyan runner Yimer Wude Ayalew celebrates on the podium after winning the 84rd Sao Silvestre New Year's Eve 15 km road race, women's category, timing 51:37, on 31 December 2008 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. 20,000 runners took part in Brazil's most traditional street race, and Ayalew was followed by Brazilians Fabiana Cristine da Silva (52:28), second, and Marily dos Santos (52:48), third.
