BELGIUM-ENTERTAINMENT-EU-ART-CZECH-BULGARIA
Thi combo of images shows (L) a closeup of an installation portraying Bulgaria as a nation of squats, part of Entropa exhibition, taken on January 14, 2009 in the atrium of the European Council headquarters in Brussels and the same installation covered with a black sheet pictured on January 20, 2009. The Czech EU presidency pulled the curtain down overnight on part of a controversial artwork that portrays Bulgaria as a nation of squat toilets. Created by Czech artist David Cerny to mark the start of Prague's presidency, the installation is a symbolic map of Europe depicting stereotypes attributed to the 27 European Union member countries.
