INDONESIA-AMBON-PROTEST
Ambonese who live in Jakarta hold a protest in front of army headquarters in Jakarta, 24 May 2004, against alleged human rights violations by the Indonesian military in Ambon and accountability by Indonesian President Megawati Sukarnoputri. Tension rose in the eastern Indonesian city of Ambon 24 May, with residents setting up road blocks in several parts of the city after bombs wounded five people. This happening only two days after a visit by President Megawati who paid a brief visit to the city and promised to deal firmly with separatist supporters. AFP PHOTO/Bay ISMOYO
