Police on a motorbike drive past the main entrance to Berlin's iconic "Kaufhof des Westens" (usually abbreviated to "KaDeWe" - literally "Department Store of the West"). Robbers have pulled off a daring heist in Berlin's best-known department store over the weekend of January 24 to 25, police said on January 27, 2009, stealing jewellery that reports said was worth up to five million euros (6.5 million dollars).
