The coffin carrying the body of WWI veteran William Stone sits in church during his funeral at St Leonard's Church on January 29, 2009 in Watlington, England. William, also known as Bill Stone, was one of the three remaining British veterans of the First World War and took part in the 90th anniversary of the Great War Armistice in London in November 2008. He joined the Royal Navy on his 18th birthday and saw 27 years of Service including both First and Second World Wars. He passed away at his care home on January 10, 2009.
